Each of Ireland’s four BICs AxisBIC,
Furthr, Propelor, and WestBIC—plays
a vital role in supporting entrepreneurs
through tailored, growth-focused
services. From accessing earlystage investment to strengthening
business strategy and execution,
the Irish BICs support founders in
progressing innovative ideas into
sustainable, scalable businesses.
The Irish BICs support the growth of

and foster entrepreneurship by
providing targeted supports, including
incubator and enterprise space,
expert mentorship, and direct links
to investor opportunities.
The European Business and Innovation Centres (BICs) are regionally, and locally based organisations involved
in the identification, selection and specialist support for new and existing enterprises. Irish BICs are certified
members of the EBN network and operate as public-private partnerships, combining Government funding
via Enterprise Ireland and private funding. In Ireland, Exchequer support is provided by the Department of
Enterprise, Tourism and Employment. Irish BICs concentrate on supporting innovative businesses with growth
potential that contribute to economic development in regions.
